During World War II and the Korean 'police action' the Fleet Air Arm used rocket assisted take off gear to enable heavily loaded aircraft to clear the flight deck. It was also used if the catapult was u/s or there just wasn't sufficient wind speed across the deck for normal take offs.

This package gives all you need to equip Seafires, Barracudas, Sea Furies and even the Swordfish with RATO gear.
