Scored a hat-trick in my campaign today ( :woot: ) but then managed to crash the OFF Manager with a combination of Pause, Map and Zoom Map (trying to find the location of the first downed Albatross). Went on to kill the next two planes but suspected all would not be well. Landed at home base, ended the mission and straight back to desktop. :banghead:

Oh well, the vagaries of war. :crying like a little girl: :icon_lol:
 
That's damned unfortunate, but interesting because something similar happened to me last night.

Got mixed up in a dogfight near home and 'A' Flight were passing and bundled in to help - as my wingies had buggered off - when I had the old 'Keyboard signal quality low' popup throw me out of OFF. Alt TAB'ed back in but at mission end the manager took ages to come up and I wasn't asked to claim at all, even though the replay said I'd downed two. I put it down to having no witnesses, assuming I couldn't use any of the 'A' flight bods... but it might have been the interrupt.
 
Dej CFS3 is very unstable when it comes to interrupts - even Alt Tabbing out of CFS3 can cause it to hang - its one of the reasons why MS no longer support it.

Anti Virus updates or any other software than can start up during CFS3 run time is a candidate for killing CFS3..... alas...

So turn off anything that might interrupt CFS3 during mission run time.

If you do this then CFS3 should perform very very stably.

I'm lucky then, mine survives both Avast AV updates and calls over Skype (I can even answer them if I'm quick enough to catch the little green light that pops up in the corner of the screen). "Hello? Lt Williams? This is the future calling, on some pretty freaky advanced technology that you lot have not even dreamed of yet."

Yes it varies - I can sometimes Alt - Tab out with no problem - other times nope CFS3 crashes - seems to be timing related... YMMV.

But for those having 'interrupt' problems (lol no funny comments required lol) - look in the directions indicated in my post above
