The joys of tweaking scenery....I just finished installing a NDB at my Lima Strip on the side of a hill in Laos. I flew Aerosoft's Beaver from Vientieane to the strip using only my ADF for navigation. I got there and back without any incidents. Except of course of being shot at....LOL.

That's cool! Hopefully this weekend I'll have time to mess around some more with my little airport. I'm considering doing it up nice with buildings, trees, parking areas and navigational aids.

Sounds like a plan. I have a test airport for my scenery work. When I download some new object, etc., I place it at that airport. I can then open it and see what it looks like. If I like it, then I usually will add it to one of my working airports.

Several years ago, I created a fictional airstrip called "My Farm." By the time I finished it, it had a hanger, cabin, lake with dock, and AI traffic. There's almost no limit to what you can do with these programs. My only drawback is that so far I've never been able to master any of the modeling programs. I'm limited to what others design and post for download.

I used EZ Scenery to dress up my local airport (KTGC) with old cars and other older looking stuff to give it that '50s look.

When the rest of Flight 19 gets busy with the RTW buildups, I'm thinking about dressing up Merc Air's Top Secret HQ at Rochford England. I haven't done much with that in the past few years and it's about time to revisit again.
