I LIKE it!!

Especially the oil staining on the centre line tank, very nicely done. I've got the Razbam model,wouldbe very nice to add this to it. Nice find.

That would be a great Razbam repaint. I love my Razbam Skyraiders. Wish there were more repaints, and maybe a few tweaks on the panels somewhere.

Delta_lima could you please by chance also forward this req to FSX forums for Piglets Skyraider please. I also support a paint req for the Razbam Fs9 Raider in RCN scheme please. It's my FS tradition to support both sims whenever possible.
 
This would be a excellent repaint for the RAZBAM A-1 Skyraider :jump:, especially as seeing as this year marks the 100th Anniversary of the RCN :canada: :salute:
 
Great "What if"..!!

Just love these " WHAT-IF " types...and this looks very nice indeed. ..and the 'everyday-workware-weathering' is just purrrr-fect. Obviously a bit of overflow from the Armour-Modeller showing up here. Thanks for sharing the photo.

Best "what-if" paint job I've seen in a long time. I like the big blue prop spinner, gives it a kind of Sea Fury touch. :)

Aye - I figured some naval and/or Canuck folks would see the subtext in the idea. My former army unit was co-located with a Naval Squadron (in landlocked Alberta, of all places), so all the squid jokes notwithstanding, I made a lot of good friends in both the NCO's mess, and then when I CFR'ed, up in the "wardroom". It used to irk us army folk that they insisted on having their officers' mess completely "naval" themed, even though the facility was jointly funded by both naval and army commands. Looking back though, they had a lot of great naval artifacts in there, and it was thoroughly a welcoming place to chill after a being on on a field ex. Still a army signaller at heart, but the history books speak for themselves - the RCN lads & lasses did a great job, especially during WWII.

Agree completely. I like the spinners (Sea Fury and Tempest II are likely my favourite prop planes of all time).

Well, I'm glad this hit a chord with a few folks. Regardless of my interest of the repaint, I'm still amazed at this modeler's talent. The way the exhaust is blackened over the lettering, the leading edge paint flaking, and like was mentioned, the centerline tank smearing - all magnificent. I'm a big fan of the RAZBAM Skyraider, and while Piglet's magnificent A-1 is one of the big pulls toward FSX, I'm still an FS9-er for now, and love all the paint schemes out there, from all countries.
