RE: B-2 stealth jets return after 11,000 mile journey to bomb Libyan aircraft shelter

Interesting concept: Survive a combat mission and be home in time to take the family out to dinner. I wouldn't mind leaving Norfolk for 24 hours or so, give the wife some money for bingo and go blow up Khadafy's stuff. :icon_lol:

Strap myself to my desk chair. Go to the bathroom in a mayonaise jar. Maybe get a little sleep on a half assed cot. Then Bomb a target while avoiding threats and then fly home and land after 25 hours.

In the article it says how the pilots flew 44 hour missions to Afghanistan. I find that even more amazing. These guys are tough or maybe they should have picked fighters.:mixedsmi:

With that kind of airplane the USA doesn't need carriers any more.

Well there's a special skin around them mm... mm...?

I see them, rather hear them almost daily. Depending on the wind direction they either climbing, very loudly, or on approach. It's a rare day that there isn't an "airshow" of sorts. One can tell if it's the B2, A-10's or the sneaky little black T-38's by their sound in our parts.
