Bear attack 2009

Apparently a bear attacked his plane while parked in a remote field in
Alaska. He had not cleaned out the inside after a long fishing trip and the
bear smelled it. He had 2 new tires, 3 cases of Duct Tape and several
rolls of cellophane delivered. Then went about repairing the plane so he
could fly it home. Gutsy to say the least.

Man, that is one incredible temporary repair!

Watch out for mo bear.
A duct tape roll, mostly used up & flattened, is always present in my
backpack. Comes in mighty handy for repairs at times short term.

Check Bcf Catalogue and Ezibuy Catalogue.

Good one for Mythbusters. They just had a show where they made a cannon and a boat from duct tape, a plane ought to be a real challange.

A MacGyver... very resourceful... :engel016:

the funny thing is, i have been fabricating and installing ductwork for well over 20 years, and rarely ever have i used duct tape on duct.

More duct tape is sold in the Wasilla, AK Walmart than any other in the nation. It can be obtained in a rainbow of colors (camouflage included). There is even an annual duct tape ball in which people wear suits and formal gowns constructed from duct tape.
