RE: Can't 'back out' Macchi Castoldi Mc72 from pier

Hi All,
While stooging around the Icarus web sight I picked up their freeware Macchi Castoldi Mc72. It's fun flying a little bit of history plus having a scenery piece,Desenzano del Garda(Italy) and a 'flight' thrown in as well. All work well.
However, here's the catch. When the given flight is opened up, it has the aircraft closely facing a pier. In order to get it to open water for take off purposes,...I tried the ol' PUSHBACK function,...hitting the shift+P keys at the same time. It was a 'no go' every time I tried. I substituted the Mc72 with another amphibious aircraft. That aircraft did move backwards when I hit the shift/P keys.
So I'm in a bit of a quandary,....how to 'back out' an aircraft that doesn't want to back out. Or am I missing something here?
Also,...I tried doing a Free Flight using an amphibious aircraft within Lake Desenzano del Garda, Italy. It wasn't listed. Maybe I missed the name somehow. Would this lake be listed under a different name other than Desenzano del Garda? Or will it only show up within the flight that Icarus provided?
Much thanks ahead of time.

This is weird Brad as my MC72 is pointing the correct direction when I start this flight . I have tried to locate the scenery in free flight, but apart from a sign "Chronometro" I couldn't find it any where.

It's a nice area to fly so I will most probably continue my search.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful,
Huub

Why don't you use the slew "Y" key and back it away from the pier, hit F1 and then hit the Y key again to turn off slew once you have the plane facing as you wish.

Thanks for your input gents. I did as deathfromafar suggested,...using the slew key features. Works like a charm except I can see it takes a bit of practice to get comfortable with this feature. Something I hadn't used except briefly. The first so many times using the slew key I wound up quickly miles away only to explode by hitting something! Live and learn one might say....
Ha! I'm not sure huub vink why your aircraft points outwards from the pier, and mine points towards the pier when starting the flight mission. The mysteries of flight sim I guess........and yes,....the closest I came to Lake Desenzano was taking off from the Chromonetro airstrip and then fly along the shoreline looking for features that might be familiar within the flight mission itself. No luck so far.

The scenery is obviousy there, but there is no way to choose it in free flight.

Cheers,
Huub
