Re-painters Showcase thread

Good-day,
In a previous thread, I'm afraid some folks may have misunderstood my wording, and intentions. So, this morning I took a few flights, with some of my favorite re-paints, done by members here at SOH, and elsewhere. I don't have a lot of skins installed, but I decided to capture and showcase a few that I do. Hopefully this can be an encouragement to any of these guys, and perhaps any other painters as well.

I would like this to be a showcase thread, where we can post thank-you screenshots, of someone else's work that we appreciate!

I'm not a big GA, or Tube guy, so someone else is going to have to fill in the blanks there!

No misunderstanding, you put yourself and your work up on a pedestal and told people if they cannot do better don't bother.

Good idea Joseph, got to think about that one. I have so many favorites it is hard to choose. See what I can do. Thanks for starting the thread. This could be a good thread to find a paint you hadn't seen before. Keep'em coming.
 
Where in his explanation does it say sorry for throwin a hissy fit because he didn't get the artist he wanted to paint the skin he wanted , An apology is called for not false explanations.

Some nice repaints there! What scenery is that in the P-51D-5-NA 52nd FG by R.G. Atkinson image?
 
Beautiful Trojan there! Richard posted some nice screens of that one at ORBX forums as well.

The scenery in question is the OWBX Pacific Northwest, on the West coast of Washington state.

This is a great idea! Good way to showcase paints. I wish I knew anything about repainting... It seems kinda fun!

Keep 'em coming, guys! You sure put a lot of effort into your work.

Aye Beautiful Model and Beautiful paint job.
But whilst your in the mood for answering questions, are you going too apologise too the repainters you offended yesterday with your little tantrum ?

This is a great thread. Let's see if we can keep it open, eh? Perhaps take your personal beef to PM?

To be blunt and honest, I'm unsure of which I need to apologize, unsure of where the tantrum you speak of was, and completely scratching my head about the comment "...a hissy fit because he didn't get the artist he wanted to paint the skin he wanted..." Care to expound on this? Because I really don't know what you are talking about?

Hopefully we can move on, with what is once again intended to be a supportive, and encouraging thread.

So get someone too reopen one who isn't using it as a flimsy excuse too be nice too repainters . After his little tantrum yesterday.

So you claim that the pm I got from admin yesterday stating you didn't get a repaint you wanted done by the artist you wanted so had kicked off was a lie ? , well well how the plot thickens. I will temp put the hissy fit aside and have a chat with admin on it.
But even if that is true your post yesterday was offensive too many people and I still reckon you owe them an apology.

Looks llike we have another controversy. This thread from looking at the title is to showcase special repaints that we call our favorites. If we can't move on with what this thread is intended to do it will be closed very shortly. Enough said.

Simples mate he makes an apology for his little stunt yesterday and i'll bugger off. Or i'll be a right royal pain in the ass till he does or you ban me and loose all my substandard files in the process.
