Thanks No Dice, I'll give it a try, but I have a question.

There are three parts, but the links to parts one and two seem to be directed to the same file (Corsica.zip). Is it enough with Corsica.zip and textures1.zip?

OPPS, Sorry JapLance

Should be corrected now, Should have Corsica folder, then texture folder to drop in corsica folder, then texture1 folder to drop in texture folder, then drop the completed Corsica folder into scenerydb folder. Find a good float plane for the 2 seabases and the harbor by the fort.

I did install your Corsica scenery in my Mediterranean install, but to be honest, it looks old by today's standards to me. I know it's an old scenery revamped, but it just can't compete with 2010 stuff.

Still, I'd keep it if it was an area not populated, but with Achim Corsica Bases and Jean Bomber BETA Corsican coast for Rhumbaflappy mesh, my Corsica area is already very good-looking, and your airfields don't match very well with it (some of them appear over the sea).

Sorry if it sounds a bit rude, I'm not very diplomatic sometimes even in my native language, let alone in a foreign one.

JapLance ,
to make test, a feedback ,franckly say and be honest about what you really think about that ,nobody can't blame you ,that would must be the rule, the norm, anywhere, even in this forum trying each time to not be too rude and stay diplomatic to don't digust the guys they honestly try to enhance our game ,the true impressions, are better than a thousand of very diplomatic silents or (even if no yet tried) supports and congratulations ,they satisfact the egos but can sometimes send you in the wrong way ...the honest and objective critic is always better.
No dice ,it's my fault if you havn't and can't today get the "Beta Corsica" to compare your completed work, the scenery was never realised,it was just attached in a zip last year in a "desert"thread post, cleaned since of all these ,it's just a starting point to do later a more advanced scenery .....
For sure today we have more exigences about all the aspects of this game ,today we want multilod planes ships and objects ,and the best are made today ,we have also the tools to do the sceneries in a higher level of detail and definition with mesh and the old G2k tool that help to reinvent today that was realised yesterday to match to the real environnements and that puts the ol'sim in a level where few more recent combatsim game could go today.
Dave, give a look to the more recent 2010 sceneries that work at less with the Rhumba's lod8 meshes ,check to the Chrashaz Pearl Harbor Project ,the Masrider's Mariannas ,the Uncle Tg's Andamans and Aleoutians island landclasses, and some other stuffs from them or other guys and don't forget to give a flight over the Rock :salute:

Thanks Jean,

The Scenery is old and outdated, when Martin and I started working on it we were working off of the gold beta from MS. We had no SDK. Butt.. the airfields over the water , if you land on a float plane are actually bouys with flashing lights on the top.

I am actually converting my CFS1 mesh scenery to CFS2 and I am quite sure everyone will like it.
Jean, I will give you first shot, I believe you did Gilbralter : correct?

If you still have CFS1 take a look at it, If the conversion works out as good then we won't be designing over each other, we can just work in conjuction.

The Scenery is old and outdated....

Hi Dave
Don't be worried about that ,this is not the only one ,to be honest ,with the tech way and sources we have today and how it could be possible to make with accurate coords in a 40's style a scenery ,95% of these that have been done for cfs2 all along these years ,are ,today, outdated ...but stay available in waiting better versions .

....I am actually converting my CFS1 mesh scenery to CFS2 and I am quite sure everyone will like it.
....
I've never fly in cfs1 and know nothing about it ,so....
I don't know how to say in a more diplomatic mode ..... I could tell to you already yesterday ..the time is the most precious thing...don't lose your to do something that's could also be already outdated.
today there are correct source to get the real mesh, and Rhumba's has done the best compromise to give to the sim for the whole world a lod5 lod7 and lod8 mesh pack that replace the old cfs2 defaults and we can also agrement for some places with lod9 meshes made from the best sources ...
I invit you to look before that are already done in this domain :salute:
