RE: Silver Screen and TV Cowboy heros.....

.....As a kid,....my brother and I would watch the various cowboy heroes on the family black and white 12" RCA TV. Providing that it wasn't blowing out a vacuum tube or two. From Hop-a-long Cassidy and the Cisco Kid,...to the Lone Ranger and Roy Rogers. (Heck,....where are they when we need them so badly now?) Anyway,...here's a link that will give you 7 minutes of pure, unadulterated nostalgia on the guys who truly wore "white hats." With the sounds of 'Cool Water' and the theme sound of 'High Noon' (Do not forsake me) playing in the background,..it doesn't get much sweeter than this.....So sit back,...relax,...and fire up a cheroot stogie....now ENJOY!

Yeah, we need our old western heros. I just wish they bring them back on TV Land or some other station. I can remember snuggling up on the couch with my cat and watching them all morning long. Linda Evans

Thanks for the link and the memories Brad. :applause:

That's a great nostalgia trip - haven't seen some of those names in years.
We had a Philco console TV that we got around 1952. It needed an occasional vacuum tube replacement but it worked great for many years. Those older cowboys from the 1930's were always on Sunday mornings in Chicago. :)

Around our house Gunsmoke was not to be missed until it finally went off the air.

Wow...that was outstanding.
Man, am I ever an old fart...I remember almost all of those folks and am astonished that they are almost all gone.
