I'm getting an error screen that says I'm missing a component called "Mscomctl.ocx", can anybody help me with this?

QS II, this can sometimes happen when you uninstall a program. You may not even know it, MS may remove this from the Registry in an update of some program, as it sweeps the older program and install the updates.
Anyhow, go to this site here and download the missing file. Click on the self-executing file for MSCOMCTL.OCX, which will install it in your Windows/System32 folder. Be sure to follow the instruxctions below the download on how to install the correct information to your system Registry.

Make sure it goes in the Registry. Open the Registry and paste the info from the website like it appears in XP.
Works with my Vista 64-bit SP1, but it did from the start, so I have not lost the file.

That' is for FSX, not for FS9 AFAIK.
Ah so, edit, see they are doing it for FS9 also. I already have AS 6.5 for FS9, may stay with that. FWIW, AS 6.5 works in FSX with the new 4.0 module.
