• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Real or Not?

I don't believe it one bit.... what a bunch of hooey.

I'd say what he thinks is a camera is the light that shows it's on. And that little round doodad is an electrical componet of some sort.

Where's P.T. Barnum at? He'd get a laugh out of it.

It looks like . . .

. . . a number of microwireless pinhole cameras that I have, but I do not think for a minute that it is any kind of government conspiracy - rather, I believe that the individual making the presentation is the creator of the "conspiracy". It would take a professional evaluation of the unit to determine if it was real. Is it wired into the "box" for power (8 to 9 volts required), and to whom is it transmitting? The little pinhole cameras typically have an non-obstacled range of no more than a thousand feet. Start throwing walls and windows in front of them, and that transmit range goes way down. Are there black Suburbans outside his house, or black helicopters above his domicile?

i have suspected that the tv is watching us for a long time. however, i have a real hard time accepting such an obvious method. there are far more subtle ways of doing things. besides, if it was a common thing, do you think it would come out on the internet that way, or would you instead have learned of it through repairmen or on 60 minutes or something.

focus is bad - on purpose I think. He is pointing to what appears to me to be a small capacitor (the mic.) and a magnetic transformer (the cam.)

I've done some web searching, looks like this was a hoax. Pretty clever, nicely done, but a hoax, at least this time. It does make you think and thinking is not a bad thing.

Fake! Watch when he pulls the faceplate off. You can see the transparent circle to the left of center for the RF receiver but there is no clear area where the fake camera is installed.
