Built at Castle Bromwich September 1944, PV270 was accepted by 9 Maintenance Unit, Cosford, then to 82 Maintenance Unit at Lichfield in October. She was then transferred to RAF Mediterranean Air Force in Casablanca into 111 Squadron as JU-F and 225 Army Cooperation Squadron as WU-J. After a period of time serving in Italy as well, after the war PV270 was sold to Israel as 20-80, January 1953. Eventually she went on to the Burmese AF as UB424 in 1954...
