I don’t know if anyone else is aware of this but the RealFlight Hellcat service pack has been released. I must say, I thought the aircraft was excellent as it is. How can you improve on perfection!

Real Flight Simulation – F6F Hellcat Service Pack

After the long awaited delay we're pleased to announce the release of F6F Service Pack.

With exceptional customer feedback the service pack couldn't have been so thorough without your help.

However the free scenery objects and additional paint schemes never made it to the service pack, please note that these are being worked on as we speak and should be made available shortly to those that have purchased the Hellcat.

We hope to have addressed all problems that was encountered initially through our forums and also via email. Below is a list of fixes and additional model enhancements.

- Glass texture improvements
- Flaps Indicator correction
- Pitot Heater correction
- Wing Fold Lever implementation
- Anti-Detonation lever and cooling system implementation.
- Trim wheel correction
- Pop-up Radio correction
- VC Radio correction
- Bank indicator is currently stuck on 45deg when flying straight and level (F6F-3)
- Cabin Light Switch Implementation
- Gun doors lever implementation
- F6F-3 tacho correction
- VC functionality with levers and switches for a host of systems
- New and improved PDF simulation manual
- Paint kit
- Landing Gear lever
- Wheel chocks now appear when parking brake is set
- New effects
- Anti-detonation implemented

And last but not least the 'DOA'. The DOA offers the seasoned simmer the opportunity to manage the engine, However – if you choose to fly full real, pay special attention to your gauges. There's a more detailed indication on how to manage your R2800 engine within the simulation PDF.

In order to install the update you will be needing to download the new installer, which contains all of the above and also the full model pack.

To download the update, login to your customer area and re-download the large installer.

Happy Flying.
Real Flight Simulation Staff.

EDIT: lol you were faster. I will redownload the installer. Thanks for the SP!

which where all working before hand till it got handed over, as where the 3d gauges and tooltips!! sorry to be blunt but its annoying as heck seeing things getting fixed when they where working fine and which also took sodding ages! :kilroy:

anyways :focus:

I'd appreciate it if you could take this up with the people involved and not in a public place, thanks.

Very unprofessional.

As usual I have found update downloads are fraught with problems. I am downloading from the "my account" page. Is this wrong?

Yes that's correct. The old installer was removed and updated with the new fixes and additions

Downloading from the customer service:ernae:
Thanks for the HU, Ian and to RealFlight for make it even better.

Well I got it, and I got it down on a carrier as well... I have to ask, though, does it load for anyone else with the CHTs off the top of the scale and white smoke pouring out of the engine before you even move the throttle...?

The smoke was there when I loaded it, stayed there with me sitting on the ground with a strong headwind, full cowl flaps open and the engine on idle. The CHTs would only go up from the 300 line they started at, not down. That can't be right.

Ditto all that, plus the foormerly smooth-as-cream VC panning is now slow & jerky. Great to have all the switches working though.

Smoke here too...

Scrub my last - ALL my VCs have suddenly gone jerky, probably nothing to do with the Hellcat, but for the rest it's the same as Ian P.

Nice carrier Ian, which is that?

My VC is fine. I do have another issue though... pootling along straight and level (with the gear jammed down - FS weather's fault - and the engine grossly overheating, but we're already discussing that one...) and the smoke is coming out the top of the engine and flying along 10' above the aircraft.

I think I'll be disabling the gauge for a while, here. :help:

Edit: The carrier is Ark Royal, steaming in circles off Gibraltar (ark_royal_x.zip from Avsim)

Hi guys, To lower your CHT, also chop the prop pitch to about 30% to lower your CHT
