Ok, I purchased the Sandel ST3400 TAWS Avionics Pkg, installed it, ran the very nice aircraft cfg setup to add it to the aircraft I fly the most. . .went into FS9 and not one of the aircraft has it installed. I went to each panel cfg and no sign of ot being installed there. I went to the gauges folder and the gauges are there. . .go to FSPanel Studio and it says it cannot display the gauges. If I click on the gauge it gives me nothing to view. . .like the file is there but nothing else. Any ideas?

You ran the St3400 cfg program... correct?

Once it scans your aircraft list, select the plane you want to install it to. click the configure aircraft button at the bottom right of the window. It should then show a picture of the 2D panel bitmap. On the left, click TAWS gauge.

At the bottom will be a kind of 4 arrow area (Align window), use that to "steer" where you want the gauge to appear. then click the second tab called settings at the top left. Click the "+" signs to expand the lists. I usually run the terrain resolution at medium for better frame rates.

When you click on any line, text will pop up below explaining what each does.

Repeat for all the aircraft you wish to install to.

In FS Panel Studio, make sure that under preferences, you have "Resolve Gauge DLL Dependencies" checked.

Then you can go in and play around.

I always install with RXP's program first then customize things in FS Panel Studio.

Hey, Brian.

I got some questions for you.

I just picked up the ST3400 this morning. Installed fine, and was able to add the gauge to two aircraft using their RXP config program.

When I used their RXP config program to change parameters, I got an error message and it wouldn't shut down properly. The changes were made to the individual ini files, but I couldn't figure out what the issue was with their config program. So, any ideas? I couldn't find anyting on thier forum. :mixedsmi:

Anyways, I ended up configuring the two panel setups through manually entering the desired paramters and using FS Panel Studio. So, based on your response to falcon, why do we need to have "Resolve Gauge DLL Dependencies" checked? How does this affect using FS Panel Studio for positioning the gauge? :isadizzy:

Thanks :ernae:

the resolve gauge dll is something that FS panel studio needs to display the rxp gauges. not sure of the details but that's what works.
