Red Searchlights

Guys,

Thought you would like to see this impressive effect. While I was building the Lancaster Bomber stream MP mission for this wednesday evening I noticed that the enemy searchlights in the target area were picking up the red glow from the candle flare markers dropped by the Mossies.

The still shots don't do it justice it was really something to see as I approached the target with the searchlights and illumination from the flak bursts.

Steve on another subject, I know someone was working on a search/landing light that illuminated the ground. Was that ever successful?

I have a working Leigh Light but nothing for Dam Busters. I have never been able to make a light that will illuminate terrain only facilities and objects. The current landing light and new Leigh Light will illuminate shipyards, airfields etc along with trains, vehicles aircraft and ships. It will not illuminate open water or terrain. If a tree is located in a facility like an airfield it will light up but will not if it is part of the terrain and not a facility.

I don't see why not. Take a screen shot of the body of water. Place in G-max making a pseudo airfield. call it an airfield or shipyard in the facilties file. You could probably do a quick test by using the pto and try to light up wake island.

Good idea, it should work fine, the lights would only be on over the water anyway. Let me know if you need a hand :)

ps. the searchlights are great!
