Red Target Triangles not turning black

While playing the game, I've noticed that the red target markers (red triangles) often do not change appearance when the target is destroyed.

Destroying vehicles on the road, etc., will change them to black. Blasting airfields, factories, etc., will change most of the markers black.

Destroying dug-in troops, tanks, or destroying arty, bunkers, etc., will change the image UNDER the red marker to black, but the main marker remains red.

Destroying bridges has no affect at all.

Does anyone know why this occurs, and if there is a 'fix'. It's very frustrating to waste time and ammo to destroy a bridge, when it has already been destroyed.
