back when you could still go on top of dams,we walked out on to shasta dam and i looked over the edge..my ill fitting glasses slid right off my nose and destroyed themselves on the dam face...not the only place this has happened..foresthill bridge,french meadows dam,folsom dam,and when i was 10,,we were in the navy base at pearl and got a tour of a friend of my dads kid on a subtender...i looked over the side...and plooop...right into the water....had to go to an eye doctor in honolulu toget new glasses....youd think id learn....but nooooooooo

Once again I'm beyond impressed! What have you done to make the area below the dam look so fantastic? In the default FSX scenery the Sacramento River below the dam is nothing more than a black line for quite a distance. I'm at a loss as to even knowing what to ask. By exploring the area I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a few deer walking around.
By the way, the Sundial bridge was a pleasant surprise.

Hi,
I took of from the helipad at Benton, headed to the railroad bridge and followed the river towards KRDD and came across what I thought was the Sundial Bridge. I know it wasn't there prior to installing the updated KRDD.
Now about the river below the dam..

OOps, forgot I put the Sun Dial bridge in KRDD. It isn't the real Sun Dial Bridge but close enough to fill the position.
I have a ton of photo scenery covering Benton Airfield, North from there to Shasta Dam, all of Redding proper and south past Riverview Golf and Country Club. I have filled in a few objects including the requested O'Leary's Bar which is downtown Redding. Over the next few days, I will clean it up and see just how big the upload will be.

Air Boat Ride Up the Sacramento River
Here is a small fun video of the current downloadable Air Boat by M. Allen Richards and Chuck B ('Napamule') traveling up the Sacramento River from Redding to Shasta Dam. Once at the base of the dam we checked for lost glasses (see above) at the base but were unsuccessful. Enjoy the rapids, the Sun Dial Bridge and the Diestelhorst Bridge.
