Regarding FSD Repaint Installations

I have sent my second e-mail to FSD requesting a second look at this problem, but I don't expect an immediate answer, but maybe someone here has had this problem and knows of a workaround.
I have downloaded several repaints for the Navajo and the O-2A from the FSD website which uses an installer program to locate the FS9 drive and install the repaints automatically which appears to be fine as long as your installation is located on the C: drive. In the past month, I've moved the FS9 installation from an external drive J: to a second internal HD D: and in neither case was the installer willing to accept anything other than the C: drive to install to.
A month ago, when the sim was still located on the J: drive, I wrote to FSD and asked for assistance. They replied that this indicated that the original aircraft installation was corrupt or that a file was missing. I uninstalled, then reinstalled with the same results, so I blew it off for the time being. Now, since moving FS9 over to the D: drive, I reinstalled the Navajo and installed the Cessna O-2A and I still get the same problem. The installer will not take anything if it isn't the C: drive.

Does anyone know of anything else I might try to get this to work?

I don't know if it will work, but have you tried creating a dummy FS9 folder on the C drive, copying the fs9.exe to it and creating the necessary folder structure to allow the installer to find it. Install there and then copy over to the 'real' FS9 llocation.

As I say, I don't know if it will work, but it might be worth a try :mixedsmi:

Best,
Myles
