regarding XP64

Just a bit more continuing with my previous post. Whilst playing the game I can say the following. With XP64 the game can be stable for several plays........in fact I played all evening yesterday. But it does have this habit of crashing suddenly. What it also does is, when you reboot, there is no sound and if you go to your control panel the sound has been muted.....so there might be a conflict there. By the way, with the repair program, where it says save pilots does that mean it will leave them intact? The freezing seems to happen more often with the SE5a but not at all with the SPAD XIII and as I said.....I played all evening with it. I have not tested all aircraft yet. I played briefly with the Sopwiths and they seem to be OK in the short term anyway.
Dogfighting is now very hard work with much time jokeying for position but VERY enjoyable. I will try the others shortly. It is a shame that this happens but I will keep testing until I get a copy of Vista......assuming it will not ruin IL-2.
Best regards,
Pike.
