[REL] 2nd version ** WMScenery Ground Texture Replacement **

Hello guys,
as my promised to release this 2nd version Alt WMScenery Ground Texture replacement before New Year..here we gooooo !!
This world texture doesn't represent the real world war 2 scene, No 3D objects just texture as Eyecandy only, it's an HiRes FSX Europe stuff but convert it into CFS3
lot's with new hires 1024x1024 texture : city,farm,crops field,forrest
This contain of Summer,Spring & Winter snow (For now) as This's for the test at first and i want to see feedback which setting is better.
For Spring their texture actually still in summer type because there's so many great texture i've to choose and that wouldn't fit all of them into ETO map that only had limited texture file so i decided to make a combination and each summer & spring were contained of different type of texture

Just loaded these into ETO 1.50.
Yes, much more cultivated land, less trees.To note at low level.
I can see at height 20,000ft these are more noticeable.
would show up in a dramatic way.
And brighter because of the various colors, and textures.
Did make the streams in ETO 1.50 turn black?

I tend to want MORE trees, then this scenery has..
Hobbits likes trees..:encouragement:

But I can see the benefits of this modded scenery at height would be more noticeable.
going to give it a try in my ETO 1.50 ( modded) and see how it works in other situations.

That's nice owen ! looks much better...yes i change the stream file, yours stream different with mine, im dark blue and how come those are black now? LOL
btw you can change it back with your original stream file of course owen, yes this's looks lot better at above 6000 :D
 
Just to make shure: these go in the assets folder and you have to backup all of the original .dds that are in the highres dds folder and the
compositescenerybudgets.xml and compositetexturebudget.xml.
What about the WMSpring and WMSummer folders, they have the same .dds files do they need to both be in the assets file ?
What other files need to be deleted ie. zx file in the terrains folders ?
 
What about the t_concrete01.dds this is the only file that is not in the new sceneries?
 
At 20,000 feet and above.. This really, comes into it's own; as they say here.
Had to fly normal for me, to see it all.. Oh Yea!!

Just make sure wmscenery already installed and put all of them to assets folder including wmsummer,wmspring,wmwinter
i didn't touch that t_concrete as im focusing at terrain and left the others in its original and no necessary deleting other files just overwrite in assets folder if asked, this's only small part changes and mainly for ground texture

so you mixed them with your advanced setup owen..looking good but seems they're not matching because my released texture color each has been match to each other in their original fsx, try to use all of them then post your shots back here owen..i need to see it :encouragement:

can you install WMScenerie in ETO1.5?
i had my wmscenery installed when my ETO 1.4 then i just update it to 1.5, so i've no clue how to install it in ETO 1.5..it's been long time ago and i also don't remember if someone ask me about how to install it now :banghead:
 
I have all the bits from WM scenery installed now to ETO 1.50 in the assets folder. Which will show over the stock ETO1.50 textures.
And at height your files look very interesting.
Down low things change, a compromise either looking better at height or stock ETO 1.50 which looks better down low.
Will keep testing..
Oh yea! likes to try new things..
With and without clouds.

looks nice on your screen owen ! really fit with the atmosphere! just need a good setup sweetfx or enb which you can use your own custom for that thing :encouragement::very_drunk:
 
Wiek, at height this looks great, and I am impressed with this idea, been mixing WM scenery since it was first uploaded.
Just never considered this as a complete texture replacement for CFS3, or ETO. The overlay map doesn't match the LIB files always, but works well enough in ETO 1.50.
I have several files added to My advanced CFS3 Water textures WM's ( now changed to those in ETO..) and Autumn files WM's (mainly)
I am going to keep the WM scenery Winter files in my Advanced ETO install, like the snow, and finish my Winter missions now.
Onward and upward.
And I will have a install with the modded files for scenery, for the "High" missions to play in. from you.
I can do that , LOL!
This might work well for night missions too.
Thanks for the files, off to Wreck other things now..Like Me 163b's and stuff.

Got it working now and WOW!! This is great stuff :adoration:.
You have to limit the changes using the top part only of WM manager(assets)
From a certain distance the added buildings look more like a flat cross with texture painted on it's sides.
His there an adjustement I could make to render these more tridimentionnal?

yap that's why it has been mention at first as "eyecandy" :wiggle:, yes please do some more high mission owen! would be great with those additional mission! :encouragement:
