Released: Bell 206BIII JetRanger with floats and low skids

All,

Just want to make it clear that this project is not using any new features that our FSX version will have, and is just adding two new model configurations to the FS2004 version of Owen's 206.

Thanks, this is great. Just curious, is the low skid version the type that has the forward end of the skid lower than the rear? These sit tail down when on the pad and look quite dashing.

I see it does, Fabulous! I took the liberty of making a small contact point adjustment so the skid version loads and sits as it should. Just copy these two lines over the existing ones in the cfg.

static_pitch = 4.2
static_cg_height = 3.7

Awesome additions Guys!!!!!!!!!!!! and the existing liveries will fit as is. For the float ver just copy in the B206_Dodo_T.bmp file to handle the floats. Since I have 90+ in the hanger, it will take some time to pick and choose the appropriate ones.

All the lights fit the new versions as well.

Thanks so much for the lowskid model in particular.

I have a few OH-58 repaints that will look much better on that model.

Worked on those for Uncle Sam back in the 70's and always wanted a more accurate model for those repaints.

Y'know I'm not a big helo guy but this one doesn't seem to be the white-knuckle-inducing affair most FS whirlybirds turn out to be. Definitely a keeper. Thanks! :applause:

Honestly... and pls forgive me ! I don't realy like helicopters in FS ... But this one "wins the cake" !!! :icon_lol: Great work, I love it ! THX !!!

Anyone know if dynamics can be modded on this without infringing the creators? EULA was a bit confusing. Just been messing around a bit and like what came out so far.

Flight dynamics can be modded and released, as long as they don't have any FDEs or files from the Dodosim Advanced 206 product which uses Owen's model as a base.

Actually, all of yjr paints (around 90 or so) for Owen Hewitt's o4iginal helo will fit both the low skid and float versions. In the case of the low skid you have to accept no paint on the skids themselves and for the float version, add in the float specific bmp from the original. Other than that, everything is the same -- including the lighting.

A heads up on an update I am working on that will add the same type of reflective VC windshields found in FSX default aircraft without the high glossiness. Will be for all 5 models of the FS2004 Bell 206. Stay tuned for that.
