Released: IniBuilds L1011 TriStar

DennyA

SOH-CM-2023
I'm not usually a tubeliner guy, unless it was made by Lockheed or (pre-McDonnell) Douglas. But the L1011 was my favorite plane to fly in when I was young, and I did so many cross-countries in them when visiting my dad. So I had to pull the trigger.

Haven't delved into any details yet, just flew it like a guy who climbed in and stole one. But it sure looks great.

Currently Marketplace-exclusive, but all of the liveries are available free for PC users in the iniManager app.

I love the Tristar, but haven't got the patience to go round flicking switches for half an hour before taking off. Can you literally get in this and fly it without going through all the pre-flight stuff?

Yes, my 1st flight I just set a course in MSFS2024 scenario, ignored the FMC, or whatever they call it, ticked "Ready To Fly" in the paper EFB & took off. Used the AP & Garmin 530 to fly it. Very smooth aircraft. Good value for a heavy.

How did you get the Inibuilds sourced liveries to work with a Market Place purchase? (If that is what you did).
Mine haven't shown up & in digging around I found that the Inibuilds downloads theoretically won't work with the MP purchase & you have to buy them in "Packs' from the MP. (USA about 11 liveries, Asia about 7 liveries & there is a European set) All at $4.99 per set. Inibuilds sourced liveries will work with the aircraft when it is released via Inibuilds.
Did you purchase your liveries from the MP ?
Thanks

Maybe check that your downloaded liveries from Inibuilds are directed to your Community folder. I just tried this, and found the liverie folder outside of the Community folder.

And I stand corrected.:)
They are in the Community Folder & now appear in MSFS2024.
I forgot last night to go right out of MSFS2024 before launching a flight after installing, [actually it streams], the L-1011, & downloading the liveries. They sorted themselves out overnight.
Ignore my ramblings in the earlier post.

Yep, they download to whatever folder you have set up in your iniManager app. I had to move them to the 2024 Liveries folder I use with Addson Linker.

Glad they released them for free for PC users.

I heard back from Inibuild, and they said it will be available on their website, but at this time, no date as to when that will happen. Probably not too long is my guessing?

It’ll be a while. They likely promised a period of Marketplace exclusivity for all the promotion they got. Think at least a month or two; someone mentioned a 4-month delay on one of their Airbuses.

You can transfer Marketplace purchases to their store, though, so you could buy now and then xfer once it’s available on iniManager. That’s my plan.
