Remember the song, "Bluer Than Blue"?

Michael Johnson was the singer who made that song a hit in the late 1970s.

At the time, I was attending Mankato University, up in Minnesota. I have collected his recordings ever since. His style, to me at least, is unlike anyone else, vocally.

My wife and I have seen him perform many times, up near Nashville. It's been a while since we've gone up there though. 'Bout time for another trip.

But give him a listen. The man is talented.

Yep, pure talent. He has the quality of talent that is possessed by very few..James Taylor is one, Phil Vassar, John Berry, and Collin Raye.

I finally found a link to some videos that are MUCH better than what you will find on Youtube.

Go to: http://search.music.yahoo.com/search/?m=all&p=michael+johnson

scroll down to the video listings for Michael, and you will see three: "Whenever I Call You Friend", "That's That", and "The Moon Is Still Over Her Shoulder". My personal favorite of those three is "That's That", but they are ALL good. "That's That" has great sound to it, and the accompanying musicians are quite talented too!

I really like this Yahoo Music site. I plan to look further!!!

And I must admit I am also a Kenny Loggins fan; most famously known in recent years for his song, "Danger Zone". I still do like that song, but it surely has been overplayed. It seems to be quite a favorite of flight sim videos; ad nauseum!

But at the same Yahoo site, I found: http://search.music.yahoo.com/search/?m=all&p=kenny+loggins Scroll down to the video selection, "Conviction of the Heart". The song is sort about saving the Earth, etc....but that is not why I like it. Mainly, I appreciate musical talent, and this guy definitely has it.

But I was a follower of Loggins and Messina many years ago. I saw them perform three times (twice at Largo Arena in MD, and once at Constitution Theatre in D.C)
