Rememberance sunday

We went to our local Anglican church for the Remembrance Service. The RBL rep there has decided it's time I rejoined...

Its great to see a day honoring Vets. There are only two left alive in Nassau from the second world war, both laid wreaths on the cenotaph here in the town square. I remember my own Great-Grandfather who served in the British infantry in World War one. They made truly honorable sacrifices for freedom. God Bless them All.

A professional drummer friend of mine played a special tribute the weekend with a Glenn Miller Big Band reenactment group. The guest of honor was a 91 year old participant in Patton's dash to Bastogne during the Battle of the Bulge. They were all dressed in period uniforms, and there wasn't a dry eye in the house as the old gent came forward to lead the pledge.
