removing default runway

Good old Aslito eh? Use Martin's GSL editor to find and open the gob in which the strip is located and delete the gob.

Go to the scenerdb folder and open it. There you will find a folder called runways, open it and you will see a file that says allrunways, remove it and put it into a new folder namming it what ever you want.I keep mine in the runway folder just incase I need it.This will remove all the stock runways in CFS2.Inorder to get them back just put the allrunways file back into the main runways folder and the stock runways are back.:typing:

What is wrong with doing it the way I suggested? It is easy simple and fast and won`t screw up CFS2.In the Cactus missions I am trying to finish that is the only way you are going to be able to do it inorder to play the missions.I guess my way is just to darn easy.:typing:

removing runways

and the correct answer is.................?

In FSSC,edit scenery, exclude scenery. This will remove the default scenery from the area. The area is the flatten and poly which would have the same coordinates of the default.
The Gobs are previously removed with gsledit, remove gob.
below is image of Isley airfield B29 USAAF base beeing built over the former IJA Aslito default scenery after the marines over took the island.

Uhh...judging from your original pic with the new runways laid in FSSC, i wrongly assumed you had already tried that with no success and that would be your reason for seeking another option. I already knew about the FSSC excluder feature, it just seemed pointless at the time to suggest it.

abria que recopilar todas las runway reales, que se an creado!, is there a pack of new reals runways in pacific?there are zones that not have runways!.

I did'nt know about the exclude until i got tipped by email. What worries me now is how will it react on someone elses PC?does the area "aslito" exclude automatically when the scenery is placed ?as for the gsl to remove i will ask MW wether i can include the gsl edit and reason.

Question...are you looking to get rid of ALL the stock runways?

If so, just delete the "all runways.bgl" from the SCENEDB\runways folder.

Bob, I think he wants to get rid of 1 runway, not all of them Anyway, I think the answer and problem are solved, reading the posts above.

The FSSC exclude is something I never noticed... I'll have to look into that. Thanks for the tip guys! :friday:

xx

i just got another email of interest from my tutor. When you use the exclude option it generates a 4'th file into the folder of that new scenery airbase which will exclude the previous default or other .So that answers my question above regarding install by third parties. The default gsl however will have to go with the edit tool.
