I am taking Brian Gladden's FS2002 Cessna 140 wheeled and float versions (which work beautifully in FS2004 and are among my top 20 favorite planes to fly) and am "converting" them into Cessna 120s....which were basically C140s with no electrical system and no flaps. I have already made copies of the 140 folders, renamed everything to reflect 120s, have taken the config files into ACM and removed the lights. Still need to regauge the plane with simpler gauges and remove the radio.
Now to remove the flaps....I know that the config file has lines for flaps...I can delete those or change them to reflect no flaps easily enough. My question pertains to the air file....what areas of the air file will I have to tweak to remove all traces of flaps from the 120s?
With luck someone who knows their way around this stuff will chime in and say that I don't need to mess with the air file....for some reason me and air files don't get along all that well.

Once I have the Cessna 120/140 project done, I will have "produced" the following models.
140 Float and Wheeled (the first production series, had cloth covered wings but a metal clad fuselage and control surfaces).
140A Float and Wheeled (updated production series with full metal wings...this is the version that Brian produced).
120 Float and Wheeled (cheaper than the 140, had no flaps or electrical system, the D shaped windows behind the cockpit doors were options....the D shaped windows are modeled into the plane...so that option will be on the plane, had the same construction as the 140, ie...cloth covered wings, metal fuselage and control surfaces).
