OK I have 5 installs of CFS2,and want to remove the stock aircraft. Everything I've tried doesn't work;remove folders, change name. When i go to run a certain war it says can't find and have to click them all every screen.
Any suggestions?

I did not see it in the quick look at the thread Rami posted, but you also have to delete ALL of the original mission and campaign files. Campaign folder and Missions folder have to be empty of anything that calls for any of the stock aircraft. Just for brevity sake, I also delete all of the stockers from descript.dat in the info folder to save on kb of that file and then list my add-ons in there. I also delete all of their textures from the INFO and TEXTURE folder, though it is not necessary to do so.

I would get Morton Krogstad's CFS2 Utility and also Jonesoft QC Editor and run them after you delete the stock aircraft and install your new aircraft and mission/campaign files.
Both are available here in the SOH Library.

Do not attempt to start up CFS2 without first using one or the other, or both. If you use both, do not let MK_CFS2_Util update your Quick Combat file. Use Jonesoft QC Edit for that. If you use Jonesoft QC Edit you don't have to manually delete the stock aircraft from the QC file and you maintain the "All fighters, Allied fighters, bombers, etc., and Country assignments and add new country assignments.

I don't worry about leaving the Zero, Corsair, or Lightning for aliased sound because I don't alias my sounds. Every aircraft in my installs has its own sound files in the SOUND folder in each aircraft. I find less problems with CFS2 if I don't alias sound, model, and panel.

Also, the airbases in MB are taken from the SCENEDB\AFDfiles\scenery. So, to get your new airbases to show, you have to put your "(airbase)2_AFD.bgl" into this folder.
