• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Reno's Future

Sure hope they keep going. If you go to one of these events you take the chance of something going wrong overhead and you being the unfortunate - but entirely unintended - recipient of the results of the problem. It's no different than going to an NHRA dragstrip or to a NASCAR event. Now and then one of them climbs the wall and roosts in the stands, and there have been spectator fatalities at both kinds of events. This is no different. As a precaution, however, if I were race management I would INSIST a signed release of liability accompany the purchase of each and every ticket to each and every event. They may already be doing that, I don't know - but if they're not they'd be smart to do so, and right away. :hatchet:

I figured the Reno Air Races were done after that. Hopefully, this cautious approach is successful in saving lives and the show itself.
