Good afternoon,

Today does mark the “Official” beginning of the Battle of Britain. Tally Ho!

What a great movie. I watched it again recently. I love the "repeat please" sequence where the Polish pilots pretend not to understand the order not to engage and then peel off to join the action. The only thing I didn't like about the movie was the use of Spanish built Buchon 109's. Pity they couldn't get the real thing since all the other planes were authentic.

I just read in one of my WWII mags that director Ridley Scott is seriously thinking about making a re-make of the Battle of Britain movie classic.

Well, with Ridley Scott's use of CGI there will be no "ringins" in the air and hopefully no German markings on Allied vehicles.:untroubled:

I feel like I witnessed the Battle of Britain today on the way home. Mr. and Mrs. Red-Tailed Hawk vs. at least five red-winged blackbirds. The hawks must have gotten too close to someone's nest. The blackbirds were very aggressive; right on top of the hawks, almost riding their backs. I swear I could almost hear: "TAKATACKATAKATAKATAK".
