Repost from P3DV1-3: All aircraft uncontrollable!

I thought I had found a solution, involving a Active Sky "Realistic thunderstorm up and downdraft rate" setting, but nope. That didn't do it. NC

Also, I had installed a new beta version of Active Sky. Thought THAT was the problem, but no. Will try again tomorrow. NC

This might be one of those situations where you are going need to run the repair option and if that fails a full uninstall/reinstall routine.
:banghead:
Not a happy thought but sometimes less frustrating.

You might just want to uninstall and reinstall just the "client" part of your P3D, not the whole sim ;)
If that doesn't work, then you'll have to look into the various modules like Active Sky for example.
Do you still get the problem when all of these external programs are disabled ?

Going back to Zinj's remark in the other thread, are you using A2A's Accu-feel?

I ask because the exact same thing happened to me a couple of days ago. It was just after I installed the latest update for Ant's
Tigermoth Pro (a plane I truly love by the way). I don't know if that was the cause, but immediately after that install, as soon as
I took off and got above 200 feet, using any plane, it was as if I had flown into a category 5 hurricane. The planes would go all
over the place and were absolutely uncontrollable.

On a hunch, I reloaded the Tigermoth Pro, went into the drop down addon menu from the top bar, went into the Accu-feel options,
and then turned Accu-feel completely off. That cured the crazy flight behavior. Then on a further thought, I went back into the
Accu-feel options, turned Accu-feel back on for everything else, but left it off just for the Tigermoth Pro. And everything went back
to normal as it had been.

Accu-feel is working as it should, at least for all other planes, except the Tigermoth Pro. I haven't tried turning Accu-feel back on
yet for the Tigermoth Pro, but I might just try to see what happens.

I hope that helps.

Rob, I think Accu-Feel is the source of the problem. I uninstalled it, and problem is apparently gone. I have to do a few things, and will reinstall Accu-Feel later on today, and see what happens. Thanks! Pete

I just went back in and turned on Accu-feel for the Tigermoth Pro and no problems, so I don't know.

I'm beginning to wonder if I should just delete Accu-feel permanently anyway, as one less thing to go wrong. While it provides some
nice rumbly sounds when rolling along pavement, and some nice open cockpit ambience for the GAS biplanes, I don't quite feel the
need for it in P3Dv4 like I did in FSX. Maybe it's because Active Sky provides turbulence and sheer effects just as well as Accu-feel
(I wasn't using Active Sky in FSX).

In any case, the problem seems to be sorted for now...

Thanks - RobM
