I understand you are working on a soundset for the Jaguar - fittingly for Obio's update of the old Alphasim Jaguar. I would like to ask that you consider a single engine non-afterburner set for the Hawk family since they basically use the same engine. Much appreciated.

i second the notion :salute:

both aircraft Use the Rolls-Royce Adour series Engine, jag has 2x with reheat, Hawk has 1, non reheated. fun fact the Winning hame for the Hawk was actually 'Tercel' but the RAF favoured the simpler Hawk, so Hawk it was :icon_lol:

Hawks Engine is an Adour Mk.951 with FADEC, Jaguars used the Mk.102, also using this engine is the T-45C, Mitsubishi F-1 and Mitsubishi T-2 :salute:

Motion passed

No problem A112.

:salute: Everyone knows I'm a sucker for punishment...so when I get the Jag together, I'll put in a single engined, no-AB folder also and configure it for the Iris version of the Hawk (my personal favourite).

Patience! :wavey:

:salute: Thanks for the HU on the Mitsubishi aircraft Matt. If there's a Japanese aircraft using the RR Adour, chances are I'll find some high quality sound material as per F-4.
They seem very hot on top quality recordings.
Wonder why...LOL:icon_lol:

Hi!
May I suggest you to use the sound pack by Serge Luzin (fsx_t45_soundpack_1.zip) available at avsim.com. It is designed for FSX but it works perfectly in FS2004!
Cheers,

Stéph.

Stéph, yeah i tried that out and i dunno something just wasn't ringing right in my ears for some reason, will have to give it a try again, but failing that NIgel will have that beaten pretty sharpish, his sounds seem to have panache and flair, plus his enthusiasm about doing soinds is kind infectious, guess while he's doing them sounds i should think about a DSB/IRIS Hawk revamp.... :icon_lol:

Nigel, Είσαι καλά; και την οικογένεια; :salute:

:salute: Καλά είμαστε ευχαριστώ, Matt. Εσεί;

Thanks for the good words buddy. The only explanation I feel able to offer is I'm a stickler for authenticity...I'd rather not touch on a subject if it means otherwise.

DSB/IRIS Hawk revamp? Sounds just what the doctor ordered.

I know you'll give it the works!

καλά ευχαριστώ,

the DSB/IRIS Hawks i know well as they're my regular 'show jet' if i join in multiplayer with my buddies i'm always in my special Hawk.... as for authenticity, it's the way to do it pal.... immersion is key :salute:

I'm loving this Jag, utilizing the soundpack suggested by Steph!
Just replaced a few sound files with original Jaguar recordings, and quite happy until Nigel's 'first' release...:).
Question to Obio though:
Have you ever found a solution to the one sided exhaust trail on your modifications, or was I not paying attention?

stuart

Nope...haven't found a solution for that problem yet....other than I think my Iris_heat effect may have been changed somehow.....even when used on a single engine jet, I am now getting the puffs of smoke....will have to do some digging for a solution for the Jag heat.
