Hi

Just wondering if anyone has Ralf Kreibich’s Dornier Komet / Merkur and could possibly upload to flightsim.com or avsim.com. This is the aircraft I am looking for:

I have the original zip that I downloaded about 3 years ago. According to the readme, Mr Kreibich is happy to have his work uploaded to any site giving free distribution. Now, if someone would guide me through the upload process, I should be happy to send it. What a crying shame he's given up.

I would also like to fly this aircraft. I have come across the Komet somewhere, but the download link was dead. All of Ralf Kreibich’s models are jewels.

No being too sure how to upload the file, I have just sent the Merkur direct to Wolfgang89 who tells me he will find time to upload to flightsim & avsim. Have patience, like all Ralf Kreibich's aircraft, it's a pleasure to fly and very pleasing on the eye.

Just uploaded to Avsim, so all being well, should be available from tomorrow.

Uploaded to simviation.com. Look for it under Fs2004 vintage aircrafts. Should be available by tomorrow hopefully...

There's also a Sablatnig PIII which was a new one to me, and I think it's still to be found. I say again, what a shame Mr Kreibich has decided to call it a day.

Thanks djs1 and wulfgang89, I searched high and low in my CD files, but never found it. I know I had it in GW3, lost it there when lightning hit last July. It's here, but my load of CDs are 12 years plus! :isadizzy:

This time I'll save it proper. :ernae:

Thanks to all involved in making this one happen.
...Djs1 and Wolfgang, the file is at Avsim. Just downloaded it.

On last years stop at the Dornier Museum at Friedrichshafen Airport I got a first hand look at the Merkur on display there and the long list of aviation firsts the airplane has to show.
You really have to admire the pioneers of aviation....taking these "contraptions" to the far reaches of the planet.

Dornier Museum

Darn! I was in Wilhelmshafen a few years ago and I didn't realize the Dornier Museum was there. Well, it's on my list of things to do if I ever get back there again.

Friedrichshafen ... not Wilhelmshafen ... I know Germany is relatively small geographically but I did not want you to start looking in the wrong place. :jump: Think Lake Constance or Bodensee. While you are there I highly recommend a stop the Zeppelin Museum.

Stefan

Well, darn again. I missed that one by the length of Germany. Good thing I wasn't a navigator.

It's been years since I've been to Friedrichshafen and the Zeppelin Museum there. I'll put the Dornier Museum on that list too if I ever make it back there. Love the Bodensee and the ferry ride over to Switzerland.
