I bought REX Soft Clouds last year. Am trying to reinstall it into my FSX Steam edition, but nothing happens. I redownloaded the installer. It runs, but then nothing shows up for it to install???:banghead: NC

I had to install SqlLocalDB.MSI in order to install Soft clouds, but I did get an error message.

I am not able to install it either. In FSXA and win7 64.

No wonder their stuff is on sale at half price

Cheers Chris

It is $6 on Steam, but I already paid for it through REX store, and am somewhat peeved at not being able to install it. NC

The REX add-on through Steam seems to have a lot of negative reviews, the standalone seems better received. I may buy Soft Clouds from the REX website for $5.50 and see how it goes.

Soft Clouds (stand alone product rather than integrated into Rex4 direct) does work in FSX/A Win7 64-bit.. I've been using it for years. I seem to remember there was an install issue and it may be related to what Roger posted but I honestly can't remember now. First time install was on WinXP SP3 (where I had the issue) but I don't remember any probs with Win7 Ultimate. Their help desk should be able to sort you out.

I have just installed the product after FSX reinstall and all went well and the product functions perfectly. During installion it does install an SQL required software and puts a pop up that that was installed succesfully whilst the product finises its own installation, hope you resolve as its a great add-on. Win 10 64bit system with FSX Gold / Accel.
