REX woes

I recently purchased REX from simmarket, got my product key, all was well, until I tried to install it. I have extracted the installer from the .zip but for some reason, whenever I enter my product key, and hit "next" to continue, it just says, "The installation wizard has been ended prematurely due to an error, blah blah blah." What is going on here?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Chuck

Despite being in the FS9 Forums, I assume you are trying to install in FSX right? That is what REX is designed for.:salute:

Are you running W-7? If so are you right clicking and "run as administrator"?

And did you purchase the FS2004 version not FSX? HAd to ask...

I would try another download ,maybe the one you have is corrupt....

Didn't even know there was an REX for FS9. I have the full version on my FSX setup, just assumed that's all there was. I'll be quit now and go do something else, lol.:salute:

Hi,

Not sure what OS you use.
MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  • Windows XP SP2 / Windows Vista
  • Microsoft Flight Simulator FS2004
  • Processor: 2.0Ghz+
  • RAM: 1GB
  • Hard Drive: 4GB of free space for installation
  • Video Card: 256MB DirectX 9 compatible (512MB recommended)
Other:

  • Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0}} - required for REX, download from this link.
  • FSUIPC (registered OR unregistered version)

Do you have Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 installed on your system ?

I surpass the system requirments by quite a bit. And I have .Net framework 2.0 installed, as well as the new versions... I think I'm going to head over to the REX forums here soon.

Thanks for the help guys. :salute:
