I'm always interested in new aircraft like this so I downloaded and installed in FSX. After replacing all the missing gauges and adjusting the viewpoint a bit I found it to be a fun little trainer. I did a very rough translation from the Russian site and apparently this is an unfinished project (hence the textures missing) and either there was a conflict between several parties and the airplane was released as is for that reason, or it was supposed to be a payware project and never got there for some unknown reason. I also found a reference to www.thaiflight.com as a possible site to find additional info, however you must first register and then translate the site into english and then navigate through the site to find any additional info that might be available.

It would be pretty simple to make a new layered paint kit and do additional liveries, just depends on whether or not the aircraft has enough merit to put any additional work into it. The FDE seems ok but considering none of us have ever flown this airplane it's difficult to say with any credibility that it flies like it's supposed to. I did notice that in low speed maneuvers (120kts and below), the control responses diminish quite a bit. Trying to do a turn of any radius at or slightly below 120kts was difficult and on landing, it was almost impossible to keep the nose up for a soft landing below 120.

Looking at this from all sides it ain't 'arf bad... well spotted! it's a significant aircraft, sadly underrated and sadly neglected, since maybe FS2000
Be great to see some Luftwaffe colours on it for FS9

As to the handling... it's a trainer for jets, so behaves like one.
It certainly has a monster speedbrake...

The model isn't quite complete, and there are some mapping problems around the nose.
But with a little imagination one could make quite a nice personal mount out of it.
Cheaper than an L-39 too...

Thanks for the heads-up RPetty.
I've been wanting one of these for FS2004 for a very long time. Last time one of these was in the FS world was Captain Slug's rendition waaaay back in FS98. In fact that one was one of the first planes I ever downloaded, a tentative first step in a much larger world. Lots of good memories. Again, thank you. :ernae:
Concerning the lack of pitch authority at slow speeds: I think it might just be nose heavy. I felt it did fine with plenty of nose-up trim. I am thinking changing the CoG a titch forward would do a lot of good. Just my two cents though.

Interesting to see one of these pop up for FS since I happen to be working on an RC version:

This is my second build, the first had a UFIT after the aileron servo locked up during a snap roll.

Loaded her up in FSX and of course all the gauges are dead as Falcon mentioned but I also noticed she loads up a couple hundred pounds overweight. Lowered the fuel load and after a quick spin around the home field was able to bring her in at 95 knots over the fence, the cfg says the flaps up stall speed should be 82 but I didn't want to push my luck.

Don't know if anybody else tried it yet but this one is flyable from the rear seat also, everything is there and the rear panel accepts gauges.

Thanks for the heads-up on the file, with a little work this one's gonna be a keeper.

Have you opened the Model folder? There are an additional 4 MDL files in there. Do you have any idea if they work ? How would one go about using them if they do ?

Actually I hadn't noticed so I took a chance and tried something and it worked:
Open the model.cfg file and comment out the line "normal=" and type in one of the other mdl files under that one:
[models]
//normal=RFB FANTRAINER FT600
normal=600PMK81

Now save and load up the aircraft and you have a fantrainer with a Mk81 bomb under each wing!!

No VC's on the armed models in FSX either except for the 600T model but the T model doesn't look any different than the other clean model. I'm assuming the T model was supposed to have drop tanks but they never finished adding them.

This model comes from http://www.thaiflight.com
