Hello to everyone

I wonder if there is a Rhodesian Air Force repaint for the Alphasim Canberra.I managed to find the Vampire-one and the Hunter-one but nothing for the Canberra
Can someone please help? :faint::faint::help:

Hi Ian,

go to classic british files and search for Steven Beeny. He has done many high quality Canberra paints and there is at least one RRhaf skin for you.

Jens-Ole Kjolberg also did 3 skins over at flightsim.com for the simply excellent Bill Holker Canberra; just search for 'Jens-Ole Kjolberg canberra' and you should find them.

Best wishes

Nige

It seems that no-one of the RhAF\RRAF repaint is made for the Alphasim version of the Canberra

Please, any suggesion\tip\idea?

I got one in the workshop, not sure when it is finnished:

Hello Henry
Looking forward to some more of your Canberra paints. Nice to see you are still painting.

Very nice indeed, Henry, always nice to see another Canberra painter's work. This one looks bang on the money, nice weathering too. Zimbabwe Air Force if I'm not mistaken by those roundels though.

I was considering knocking out a new RRAF paint, so this is a good reminder.

ATB,

Steve

No, that, I think, is a "post UDI\pre Bush War" when Rhodesian Air Force was no more "Royal" ; Bush War (....Green Leader :whistle: ) Canberras had no roundels\insignas at all.
...and that repaint is BEAUTIFUL:applause::applause::applause:
Sorry to ask, ETA?? I feel like a kid who has discovered his toy but can't play with it:jump::jump::jump:

Ok, i found several in an external HD after my computer crashed and thought all was lost. I will be uploading the following canberras to AVSIM the next couple of hours.

Note: The pics are taken in FSX.

Steve: I tried your repaints but unfortunately they didn't work in fsx :-( so i had to do some for the Alphasim.

Cheers :friday:

These are simply stunning.
Henry I can understand as a painting maestro, the attraction of FSX, but please! do not abandon the FS9 fraternity entirely...

I have to echo those comments and really compliment you on your accuracy and range of work - superb. A man after my own heart (even if I am not an FSX user!)

Ianf77, according to my reference, the green/white/lion rampant roundels appeared as part of the AFZ (Airforce of Zimbabwe) transition, and were not seen on even the later-era RhAF Canberras. It also leads me to believe that by the time the total lack of roundels and markings occurred in 1981, it was well and truly AFZ.

I will say though that I am not an Rhodesian/AFZ Canberra expert, and may be wrong, but this is what on Target Profile 11 shows.

Regardless, superb work Henry.

For the lack of roundels i think (please DO correct me if wrong) it was just a political matter since RhAF sometimes (...) violated international border during raids (Chimoio just to say one) but not always was so "polite" to advice ATC, like during Operation Gatling.
In case the plane was shot down\lost\seen...... no-one knew anything
