I was shocked to read over at Flying Stations that one of the co-founders, Rich Ruscoe, has just passed away after being ill for a while.

To many of us naval aficionados, particularly those who of us interested in Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm flying, he rendered much help in sorting out issues and bugs with making sure naval planes behaved the way they should - to say nothing of the contributions to the projects done by Flying Stations. Yes, a few might have found him blunt and sharp from time to time - but to me, he was always an experienced gentleman to whom I always looked up for technical assistance on a myriad of naval FS matters. His grasp of technical matters was almost invariably dead accurate, and his precision was an inspiration to all of us trying to make the whole experience of replicating flight using pixels and command lines reasonably immersive.

RIP Rich - fair winds, good friend.
