Rising Sun Theater Selector bat

I think there has been a thread recently about problems changing theatres in Rising Sun - however after a search I have not located it.

Anyway, my tuppence worth is that when I run the theatre selector it works well for the operations required within the root folder. However my application data pathway is not recognised by the bat file for some reason. The appropriate uisel for the selected theatre is not set up without manual intervention.

To change theatres successfully I have to:
1. run the Rising Sun Theatre Selector bat file, selecting the theatre I wish to go to; and
2. go to my RS folder in the App Data pathway and run the 2theatre bat file. Eg if I want to go to Pearl, I have to run the 2pearl.bat

NB: I assume this process works only if your folders are not already snafued by attempts to change theatres which have messed the folders up.

Of course, what I would like to find is a pathway to the App Data folders that the .bat file recognises :banghead:

The issue with your 2 step process is that CFS3 is started by step 1 when you haven't completed step 2 properly yet, and that can cause things to get corrupted. You can stop that from happening by editing out the run command at the end of the main bat file.

The instructions say to manually edit the paths in the main bat file if they don't match your computers particular installation locations. I had done all that, but the bat file in my AppData folder would still always install the philippines version (the last test in the list of possibilities) no matter what it was being asked to do. If you read through the logic it should not have been doing that, but it did, and I could never cure that behavior.

Hi Majormagee,

Editing out the run command is a good idea as a fix for some specific situations.
I think the reason why I can do both steps 1 and 2 is that I often (not always :dizzy:) get a "can not find cfs3.exe" message. So after step two I click on a desktop shortcut I've set up to the RS cfs3 exe. However I'd love to find out what pathway my darn computer would prefer me to use to find the App Data folders... :banghead:
