"Rock of Love" tv show.

My wife likes this show, because of Bret Michaels. Personally, I would rather have a sharp stick in my eye than waste time watching it. I've never been a fan of the group, Poison though.

Other than a parade of brainless silicone wonders, that show is idiotic.

Just being curious, but do your wives have similar tastes when it comes to what they want to watch?

Another example is "What Not To Wear".......geez. I'd almost rather work on my tax paperwork.

Almost, I said.

Just my opinion.

There's no shame in liking the any show that has auditions for some sort of talent. Once that portion is over, it's all downhill though.

I kinda enjoy some reality TV shows, like the 'true beauty' one. It's amazing how none of the women are even hot, but they constantly and literally talk about how how they are. I'll take reality TV over a family sitcom based on a washed up (and most of the time, not funny) stand-up comedian. Nothing is more canned than those.

YOu're pretty much right though. That show, 'rock of love' is just stupid. Who cares about Bret Michaels? I've been rocking since I was 10 and I've been in 5 different bands; I have very diverse taste in music and I think poison is some of the worst of the eighties--and I love obscure 80's songs.

Gee Chief, I can't really tell what the Warden likes to watch. She's too busy flickin the channels to see what's on. It Ps me off so much I get up and go down in the family room to watch tv, or I get back on the computer.

Now that's funny! I am usually the "channel flipper".

Did you mean that she was attracted to him? That's disgusting. That dude wears eye liner. I'll bet anything they don't force him to wear it, either.

Reality tv IS what's wrong with tv. I wish it would all just die.

Yeah, she thinks Bret is hot. But then, she likes Leonardo DeCRAPrio too........

Go figure.

being a true metal maniac, i have never liked poison or brett michaels. especially since they also ripped off one of my fav bands, kix.

on the other hand, as much as i don't want to like leo defaglio, i have to respect his acting ability. he's actually very talented.

NC,

My wife watches that show also......I don't know but it may be because she wants to see the train wreck!!!

To her credit she watches the medical shows also to verify accuracy; she's an RN.

my wife loves reality shows . one reason i almost never watch TV ( other than the over censorship and the obnoxious amount of commercials ) , can't stand any of these and they are spreading on the airwaves like a disease .

NC,

My wife likes the house make-over shows (which I guess is sorta reality tv since they feature real people). The one that I really enjoyed was on BBC America, and was called "Ground Force". I enjoyed seeing the different locales that they went to as well as how they transformed the particular place they were working on.

In addition to those, when she has command of the remote, it's made-for-tv-movies on WE, Lifetime, and the Hallmark channels.

As far as the standard reality shows go, it's devolved into watching train-wrecks on a lot of them. Too much drama for my tastes....guess I'm getting old. Life is tough enough without adding extra drama into everything.

And channel surfing, well, it's more like channel-sitting when she has the remote. She claims that I make her dizzy has a make a run up the satellite channel guide! Seinfeld once said that men don't care what's on TV, they care about what-else is on TV !

But that's why we have TV's spread all over the house, so no matter where you are, you can go to somewhere you aren't !! :monkies:
