Rock Stars.........Then and Now......

MOST of the girls seemed to have handled aging much better than the guys ... and the balance of the women ... LOL!

:wiggle:

Lot of plastic surgeons apparently have gotten richer over the years too...

Bono each year looks more and more like Robin Williams. What's up with that?

Nice to see Pat Benatar is still looking just fine..

A few even look better now but most have not aged well....but then again neither have I!

That reminds me of Diane Dufresne's beautiful song to Elvis (before he died)

Tu vieillis mal, Elvis
T'aurais p't'êt dû mourir
Comme Marilyn ou Janis
T'avais pas l'droit d'vieillir

Aujourd'hui y'en a des plus jeunes
Y'en a des ben plus fous qu'toé
Mick Jagger, Elton John
Et pis David Bowie

Y'en a même un qui s'appelle Alice
Y s'en fait pus des mâles comme toé, Elvis

(only for those for can understand French the way it's spoken in Québec :) )

Hmm Patti Smith is not aging so well (in a second thought who says so ? me ? )...

I had to laugh out loud at some of these pictures, and then I got up and looked in the mirror. Not so funny now (I turn 65 tomorrow).

Rock stars, just like any demographic, age differently depending on life style and circumstances. As the saying goes... If I knew I was gonna live this long, I would have taken a whole lot better care of my body!

Keith Richards and Steve Tyler look like they were embalmed 10 years ago! On the other hand, those that did not embrace the party hardy lifestyle have held up well... Charlie Watts, Stevie Nicks, Debbie Harry, Pat Benatar, Gene Simmons, and David Bowie look amazingly great for their age.

It would be interesting to speculate as to what rock stars who died at an early age would look like today if they lived... Elvis, Jimi, Janis, and Jim Morrison.

On the other hand, those that did not embrace the party hardy lifestyle have held up well... Stevie Nicks,
go back again and look at the pic of stevie nicks. notice the nose is a little different? it's not the factory original intake manifold. she burned out her sinuses, etc with cocaine long before she began to age. she knows all about hard partying and the rock and roll lifestyle. read up on the turmoil that killed fleetwood mac.
stevie was right in the middle of all that drama. for fun here are a couple other rock stars pics

Cheezy, Yes, Stevie Nicks was out of control at one time, but seems to have cleaned up well with age. She looks pretty good. Another one is David Crosby... He looks a lot better today than he did 20 years ago when he was fighting his addictions.

Yeah, the guys from Kiss seem to have aged pretty well...

Well Alice Cooper looks like he's barely changed lol! I agree Meatloaf does look a lot healthier now he's lost some of the weight. Of course Captain Dickenson is still going well too!
As for the females is a mixed bag, some are better, some, like a few of their male counterparts, are downright scary lol!

Rock on!

I watched this doco on TV the other night about David Bowie, it was something I hadn't noticed before but you can see it there. He has different coloured eyes. Those shots of Grace Slick....AAAHHHH.

Grace Slick is fortunate that she not only survived the same lifestyle that killed a lot of rockers in her peer group, but she actually remembers her entire career. She's a pretty talented artist, and has her sh*t together whenever she does an interview. Still, seeing her in her senior years is quite a shock compared to how she looked around 1968. We all get there sooner or later. :)

That should be called the gallery from hell!!! Man, they should make a poster about what drugs and alcohol does to people with most of that group!!! YIKES!!!!!
