First, always playing 2nd fiddle to Michael.......Now, Button is walking away from him....

Congrats to Jenson on a dominating weekend....:)

Rubens has ALWAYS been a #2 Ed, way back when Eddie Irvine would mess with his head, then his agreed 'status' with Mickey the Schu and now ...... you'd think he might get the message that he just is not good enough to be a 'Team Leader'...........:kilroy:
I'd REALLY like to know exactly why those ugly white cars are so quick, might be off the pace a tad at the really fast circuits but I just don't know.

You, me...the whole paddock!
Especially since Honda did most of the work on the car, and on previous performance was not exectly blindingly fast...

Yeah, congrats to Button - he was simpler faster.
Monaco's like that, always a surprise.
This year the surprise was: no surprises!
The most exciting thing was arguably, Button landing himself pole position.
Everything else was pretty pedestrian, even the girls...

From what I just watched on the tele....

Brawn & Honda worked on this year's car all of last year....hence the dismal performance of last year's car because they were focused on this year...

Hey All,

I didn't see any of the race but hear it was just a no passing processional so I guess I missed nothing. Button is in rare air as only 2 drivers one being Michael have done what he has - 5 wins in the first six races.

Wonder why Toyota was so slow this weekend?

Ed, Monte Carlo is one of those races that there is probably only one place to pass on the entire circuit. And you have to appreciate the speed given the narrowness of that said circuit. It is mind-boggling watching from thos in-car cameras.

But Monte Carlo is a finesse race and won generally on pit strategy. If you paid attention during the race, you noted how they were playing with fuel loads, soft and hard (actually soft and super soft at Monte Carlo) tires, etc.

NASCAR has pit strategy, but they don;t have to worry about fuel loads or tire compounds, only full fuel and two to four new stickies. Very few of NASCAR's races are won by pit strategy, many by pit speed, but not pit strategy. Only your boy's crew chief is a pit strategist. Many F-1 races are decided by pit strategy.

But nobody was going to beat Button yesterday, a 15-second lead in F-1 is almost a guarantee in F-1 when pitting that you will come back on track with the lead.

Indy was one of the better races, but here again, the number one car won because he managed to stay ahead of the field.

I was glad to seethe 600 be a rain out. If they would keep the format and race during the day they might get the darn thing in. It always rains at Charlotte this time of year at night! I may get to see it, but weather is iffy today and tomorrow. We in the height of the seasonal storms.
