Runway Choice

When starting the Sim, it won't recognize my choice to takeoff from a different runway , it's the same runway departure every time regardless what I choose ??

Any ideas ?

Other than try a different airport entirely, no.
My gripe is that the dratted weather will not stick if selected during that startup selection.
 
Ensure you select the departure point AFTER choosing your aircraft.
The aircraft choice screen somehow resets the departure choice to the airport itself with the default runway. So if you choose a runway, then choose the aircraft, then launch the flight, then you'll probably won't be on your chosen departure point.
 
Under Assistance Options, User Experience, make sure "ATC Enforce Flight Plan" is On.

According to the description, "If disabled, ATC will decide the active runway and approach depending on current conditions, including weather and performance".

Quick note - When I checked the "ATC Enforce" it was on , it was only after I disabled and enabled the drop down menu several times did it start to function correctly !!

Go figure
