Russia Scenery

Hi Grim.

For starters I'd suggest the Tolmachevo and Koltsovo packages from the www, avsim.su site. Easily as good as any payware. The grading system at avsim.su works pretty well. If it has 5 points, it should be pretty good - one or two and it will probably be pretty poor with serious errors.

If avsim.su is a pirate site, then it is not a very good one. I haven't seen any pirated stuff there.

Best wishes

Thanks for the Rostov pointer Pete, it makes a good departure point for Sochi, also on the Black Sea, and a very nice Russian scenery. AES-equipped, too.
Interesting and vast place, Russia.
Following Steve P's Tolmachevo recommendation puts you pretty much in the Middle of Nowhere!
But, people live there, and obviously fly there too...

Err, it serves Russia's third largest city, a city that is larger than Auckland. Hardly the middle of nowhere :a1310:

Some other great sceneries:

ULAA
UMKK
UHMM
UHSS

I've also installed Rulexy's light sceneries that are hosted on avsim.su. They add basic airports at loads of locations across the FSU. They are pretty essential if you are going to be adding Russian AI.

Best wishes

Touché! I know at least 2 people who think the SW Pacific is in the middle of nowhere...
Grim's question has turned up plenty of interesting stuff, this thread will be bookmarked for future use, many thanks.
Think Russia perhaps deserves a sim all on its own.
