Ryan SC-W from GAS (beta)

The film "Wake Island," released in Feb. 1942 starring Brian Donlevy, Robert Preston and William Bendix, showed at least two aerial sequences in which Ryan SC-Ws, flown by civilian flight instructors, mimicked Japanese fighters tangling with VMF-211's F4Fs over the island during the siege. The maneuverability these aircraft displayed in those sequences was astounding.
 
I was lucky enough to be sent a beta and this is one of those aircraft that's right up my alley!
