S-3 Viking-Dino's at it again!

Dino, did you manage to fly with the newly restored 326 by Renzo Catellani? That's the ride of a lifetime for an Italian aviation nut! Congrats! How was it??
Oh and looking forward to your Viking, the external looks terrific!:applause:

One day, one day, I keep repeating myself with the 346, but I've had lots of problems shaping the cockpit up and alligning everything with only wide-angle reference photos...:banghead:

Ooops totally missed that on your blog! BTW, let me know if you're around the Volandia museum, I used to volunteer there, maybe we can arrange something more than a simple visit! :)

Hiya Dino,

Guys,
It will take months before there is anything flyable... and it is too bad that I lost the publication that was sent me directly from Lockheed Martin, many years ago (I started an S-3 project for FS2004, but never went ahead... and contacted LM to get some pics of the cockpit....and they were so kind to provide a very informative volume on the S-3).

Check your PM, hope these are the documents you lost.

Marcel

Well,

as you are aware of, with the release of P3Dv2 I have decided to update all my fSX fleet (T-45C, F-14D and F-35) so that the new sim is fully supported (and took the chance to add some features) - this took much more time than I expected, unfortunately.

as for the S-3 situation is as follows:
- the external model is complete (it is just missing the loadouts)
- the VC was halted because of quality and P3Dv2 issues... and will be redone.

So the release is months away, although I am considering a pre-alpha, release of only the external model (to start getting some feedback)...

By the way, as some of you may be aware of, I had the chance to fly on an Aermacchi MB.326 - and fell in love with it. So I also did some preliminary work on that.
Darn. :( I could give a crap less about prepar3d myself, how about a release of the FSX version you had as is to hold us over? ;)

@mgr

Thanks, I'll have a look when I get back home tonight.

@airattackimages

The VC was stopped in the very early stage... nothing you can really use on any platform.
I'll resume working on that as soon as the F-35 update is complete.

Hi Dino,

Glad you had a nice flight
