Ole Boy,
That paint job is Dale Snodgrass' FU-201 Skyblazer paint scheme from the 1956 season at Chaumont, France. The "owner" of the original paint was Skyblazer #3, Jim Foster. Last I heard, Foster is still alive down in Arizona.
I spoke with the left wingman and slot pilot about a year back about their team. Jim Reynolds, who flew lead on the 56 Skyblazers died some time ago.
There is a great paint job of Reynold's aircraft for the Section F8 bird over at Garry Smith's website,
http://gjsmith.net/ Garry was kind enough to paint the Skyblazer bird at my request about a year ago. We use it to recreate the 1956 Skyblazers in FSX.
You can find out more about our team, and the real Skyblazers at our website,
http://skyblazers.org/ There you will find many photos of this paint job in FSX. I believe we also have a link there to the exact page on Garry's website where you can get the Skyblazer paint for the SF8 sabre.
There should also be a link to the Section F8 website where you can download the FSX ready port over of their Sabre. Check under the "our aircraft" section.
I agree with you, it is my favorite F-86 paint, but I am biased.
@ Jan Kees.... Great job with those paints, I very much enjoy your paints and I'm glad you've done such great work on the SF8 Sabre. Your work with the reflective metal is amazing. I'll be sure to grab the latest ones as soon as I am able. Great that you've done a Flight Systems paint. I believe that the current president of the Sabre Pilot's Society was a pilot for Flight Systems.
