Saitek Cyborg X Joystick?

Anyone out there using the Saitek Cyborg X joystick with FSX? Opinions needed!

Thanks,

Steve in Kansas

Yes. Installed and configured using the device driver downloaded from Microsoft Update I'm having no problems whatsoever. So far it has been a very good stick.

The only things I'm not that fond of right now are that the "head" of the stick moves a little when you press buttons, depending what position you have it configured to and that with the throttles closed, button 6 can be a little difficult to press.

Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply...I need a new joystick but just can't make the decision! The Cyborg X does seems to be a good buy and I like the dual throttles...

Had the Cyborg X, sent it back, got the Thrustmaster T1600M instead, very good stick built with Hall sensors, very precise.

Had the Cyborg X, sent it back, got the Thrustmaster T1600M instead, comes with Hall sensors (or something like them) very precise stick. but you might have a look at Saiteks new X65F stick - stick and throttle, its metal ala TM Cougar, also ala the price, and theres the Logitec G940 stick and throttle & rudder pedals, both seem to be quality flight controls.

Had the Saitek ST290 pro, but just got the Logitech Flight system g940. Still have to figure it out fully though.:icon_lol:

I love my cyborg x. It is a million times better than the piece of trash that is the Saitek Aviator... :medals:

I'd say that if it was working, now it isn't, in all probability something broke or failed and you'd be best contacting them to get it repaired or replaced.

Hi, I had calibration problems at the begining, took a look at saitek forums, understood not to much, but choosing another usb-port, or simply unplug - plug, did the trick. It sounds to simple, but no trouble since then.

Cheers, Thilo

When I got my X52 at first it didn't work as well after some time. I've contacted the customer support, sent it back, got a replacement immediately and am very happy now.
From my experience they have a very good customer support.

I had a Saitek stick fail in the past - it was an internal connection error, so nothing I could repair and swapping USB ports achieved nothing. All it reported was "the device was not recognised" or "the device did not install correctly". I think it was about ten months old at the time.

I contacted Saitek, who advised me to contact the reseller, who replaced it immediately.

I now have a Cyborg X and have no problems with it at all. I really like it, with the exception of the slightly flimsy feeling "head" section, which isn't a problem, just something I noticed when I first got it.

I must admit I'm looking to get new flight controls, so I'm finding this very informative but will you guys post some shots of your set ups too please!
