Sally Ride, First US Woman in Space Has Died...

I remember staying up all night on a canal not far from the launch site ( got special passes)..... Damn bugs were all over the place!
Watched the Shuttle rise off the pad and the sound I will never forget-vibrated your soul!

I was deeply saddened...she and Christa McAuliffe were two of my childhood heroes.
