Santa Fe 2013.

Barely a month after the Militracks event the museum is host for another event, called 'Santa Fe'. During Militracks the focus is on German armour, in particular half-tracks, but Santa Fe is focussed on the allied WW2 forces. Again it is possible to take a ride on one of the many vehicles present, but there are a lot more re-enactors around, even in German uniforms this time. Unlike Militracks there are weapons demonstrations and even a couple of battles between the allied and German forces, with the French resistance also joining.

Mighty M26 Dragon Wagon:

Not great with identifying US tanks, but I believe this is an M18 Hellcat? Sounded like it had a radial engine!:

And this is an M24 Chaffee I think?:

Mini remote-controlled tank battle:

Even smaller, but wonderful models:

Part of the German camp:

You could run into these guys while strolling through the woods:

But of course they're being watched:

M8 Greyhound:

High speed tractor:

Weapons demonstrations; Colt 1911:

And a Thompson machine gun:

The Germans attack a British patrol, but are soon defeated by assisting US forces:

Bren carrier:

The Dragon wagon in the woods; this thing makes a great sound!

It was a great event, will definitely go back next year!

Just a quick question for the experts: This one was parked in a corner of the museum, but what is it? An M36?
